MASSIVE Monitoring

The heart and soul of the whole rig - Bowers and Wilkins Nautilus 802 loudspeakers flank a Pass Labs X-250 power amplifier.

And "massive" is right - It took two people to lift and a third to position the 802's onto their SoundAnchor stands placed atop Indian granite slabs. It took two people to hoist the enormous Pass Labs amplifier onto its wooden mission block - There is a matching granite slab on the mission block to decouple the amplifier from vibration. It also acts as an effective heat-sink - even from the bottom.

The broadband trap upstage of the amplifier is one of Ethan Winer’s “RealTraps” - A "Mini Trap" in an unusual (non-stock) size that just happened to fit that space perfectly.
